Short version: ClearRecord software runs entirely on your local network. Your files, filenames, deletion logs, and employee data never leave your premises. We only receive a license validation signal — nothing sensitive.

1. What We Collect

Account and billing information (collected by Paddle on our behalf):

License validation data (sent from your Hub installation every 48 hours):

We do NOT collect: filenames, file contents, deletion logs, audit records, usernames, workstation names, or any data from your employees' computers. The Software runs entirely on your local network and your operational data never leaves your premises.

We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Data Retention

We retain license and account records for the duration of your subscription plus 7 years (for tax and accounting purposes). You may request deletion of your account data after your subscription ends by contacting support@clearrecord.co.

5. Security

License server communications use HTTPS/TLS. We store only the minimum data required to operate the service. No sensitive customer operational data is ever transmitted to or stored on our servers.

6. GDPR / International Users

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact support@clearrecord.co. Our lawful basis for processing is contract performance (to deliver the software you purchased).
